Working principle and dewatering process of belt filter press machine
  Tiny solid granules become flocculent blocks after thickened sludge and flocculants fixing in the sludge mixer and free water is separated out. The flocculate sludge is transferred to the filtering belt. Under the affect of gravity, free water is separated out, and non-flowing sludge is formed which stayed between the two conveyers. Sludge goes through wedge shape prepressing area, light pressing area and heavy pressing area, and is pressed gradually to achieve the most ideal separation of sludge and water. At last filter mass is formed and discharged.
1.Chemical pretreatment dewatering
  In order to promote capability of sludge dewatering, character of filter mess and penetrability of materials, sludge needs chemical treatment. Special set “flocculating in the water fixer” is used to achieve the affect of chemical flocculating. This is really a economical method which has good affect, and save money and medicines.
2.Gravity thickening and dewatering step
  Sludge is transferred into the conveyers evenly and goes forward on with conveyers. Free-stuff water flow into the tank under the affect of self weight. Gravity dewatering also can be called highly thickening step. Main purpose is to separate free water out, and to reduce sludge liquidity for pressing.
3.wedge shape prepressing area dewatering step
  Liquidity of sludge almost has been lost after gravity dewatering. Distance of the two conveyers becomes smaller and smaller when the filter belt goes forward. So the pressure becomes stronger gradually. Function of the wedge shape area is delaying gravity dewatering time, and ensuring pressing stability of flocculent blocks, preparing for entering pressing area.
4.Pressing roller high pressure dewatering step
  Pressure becomes stronger gradually after sludge entering the pressing area and going forward because of reduce of pressing roller diameter. As a result sludge bulk becomes smaller, and free water is separated out. At this time filter mess is generally formed. Filter mess’ water ratio can be completely reduced by going through the high pressure area.
  After the above steps, filter mess is formed and is separated out. Then they are cleaned by the sludge cleaner. After that, the two filter belts are separated and washed by high pressure water. Then the next loop starts.
